WESCOUTU Premier Trials FAQS:
Players must bring shin pads, a drink, rubber moulded boots or astros, NO BLADES OR TRAINERS, and any required medication.
We ask all players to attend the trial day at least 45 minutes before the match time in order to register, get changed and briefed.
Players need to confirm their arrival with staff in the clubs function room. Parents/guardians should then take their seats in the main stand to watch the match.
Players will then be taken to the changing rooms to change into kit or numbered bibs. They will be met by ex-professional players that will act as mentors and will talk with them about the trial match and give them any pre-match advice. The ex-players will then act as coaches for the trial match, afterwards they will return to the changing room with the players for a debrief.
Older age groups will have official refs and assistants.
During the trial match Attending scouts will watch and take notes on players.
We have a large network of professional and non league scouts that attend our trial days, all scouts will attend in their clubs tracksuits/clothing.
If a scout asks for more info on a player you will be contacted 1st via WSU staff, then the players details will be passed on to the club/scout only if permission has been given by parent/s or guardians.
No players or parents will be notified on the day of any outcomes. Due to the numbers involved unfortunately only successful trialists will be contacted by any interested clubs or given any feedback apart from their coaches on the day.
No, parents or players are not allowed to speak to scouts directly, all consultation must be strictly through WSU staff only, this is to protect players/parents from possible misguided information or mis representation.
No, all players must register/book/and pay before the day of the event.
No, these particular trials are men and boys only; but we have plans for female and girls trials soon this will be put on the news page in due course.
We will have a trained physio on site to aid the player, however as per your terms and conditions WSU is not responsible for any personal injury, rehabilitation or medical costs incurred whilst on the trial.
No refunds will be given, unless place is cancelled within 14 days of the purchase date.
Should WSU have to cancel the trial event due to unforeseen or extreme circumstances all monies will be refunded.

Football Camp FAQS:
Performance Pathway camps are aimed at children between 5 -13 years of age.
Yes of course. In fact parents are encouraged to watch the sessions, to experience for themselves seeing their children having fun and learning at the same time.
Yes, the Performance Pathway coaches have all undertaken safeguarding, risk and insurance assessments before they are accredited. In addition, all our coaches are first aid trained too and are fully checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Registration is quick and easy. Just fill in on the online form, book and pay and you’re done.

The times for each session are made clear on the booking form. Please try not be late as it hinders activity for the rest of the group. Please also be on time to pick your child up.
Every child should wear appropriate clothing for out activities, tracksuits with shorts and either football boots or good training shoes. We would also encourage all children to wear shin pads.
No, we cannot apply sunscreen to children. Please send the appropriate factor with your child and we will remind them throughout the day to apply it if necessary.
